11. Top Geographical Indication (GI) for Best Promotion and Protection Activities in India and Abroad.
12. Best Enforcement of IP in India:
    • Sub-categories: Best Police Unit, Cyber Cell, Customs Office.
13. Best Incubator for Nurturing IP.

Additionally, there are four special citations and a Jury Certificate Award for a rural-centric invention, recognizing efforts in promoting and protecting IP.

Each award carries a trophy, a citation, and a cash prize of ₹1,00,000. The awards are decided by a jury comprising professionals from various fields, including IP law, academia, R&D, and industry associations. The selection is not based solely on the number of IP rights registered but also on how these rights have been leveraged for commercial success. The jury evaluates the performance over the last three calendar years (2021, 2022, and 2023) to ensure a fair and comprehensive assessment.

Linkage with WIPO Awards

In a prestigious alignment, the National IP Awards are linked with three awards from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). These WIPO Awards will be conferred along with the National IP Awards:

1. WIPO Medal for Inventors – Top Indian Individual for Patents & Commercialization.
